Felice’s POV on Drunk Weather Music Video Hair Style Looks
One of the hardest things to achieve fashion wise is looking effortlessly cute. Like you know those girls who you see at the coffee shop in cute sweats and a baseball cap with their hair perfectly falling out of it in messy perfection? Yeah, that’s what we were going for in this music video. We wanted to make sexy look super easy and chill. Even when we elevated at-home looks, we never wanted it to looks forced. What I loved most about these looks is they were totally me – laid-back, sexy.
Jeffrey’s Pro Tips for Drunk Weather Music Video Wardrobe Styling
Pre-Production Planning
When I first approached styling the wardrobe for “Drunk Weather,” I knew the whole video would be shot inside with a rainy day relaxed vibe so I wanted to create looks that were elevated for at-home fashion with a bit of an edge. During our pre-production meeting, Felice and I talked through the different setups and considered what looks would compliment each staging the best. This helped us decide hair, makeup and accessories that would compliment the wardrobe we were planning.
The Teddy Look
With the Teddy Romper look, the goal was to create something cute and fun with a hint of sexy that would stand out visually against the girls in their PJ T-shirt and shorts sets. This look was finished with a faux head scarf, Sincerely Jules by Scünci Turban Headband in Pink Satin, plus a simple necklace and a pair of pink glasses. We wanted to avoid coming off too overdone or too dressed down by finding the perfect balance of glamour and a laid-back style.
Posing and Flattering Angles
One thing that’s always important when selecting wardrobe that will be filmed or photographed is the shape it is going to create in the different setups. Wearing something fluffy that is also a romper can be tricky when sitting down to shoot, so posing and positioning were key to keeping Felice looking flawless in this adorable look.
Faux Fur Jacket Look
A standout to me is Felice in the blue and black faux fur Michael Kors jacket with a PUMA Sports Bra and black silk shorts paired with custom jewelry from Harajuku and Black PUMA Womens Fenty by Rihanna Sneaker Wedge Casual. We had matching sports bras and shorts for all the girls to wear as well as jackets to fit the rainy weather. However, again, I wanted to make sure we kept Felice looking elevated and the main focus in on-camera so the secondary characters’ jackets were more muted in comparison to Felice.
Oversized Cozy Sweater Look
When it came to the oversized cozy sweater look we wanted to keep it sexy so she wore it like a dress. Since we knew Felice would be laying down in it, we added thigh high socks to complete the look. We wanted an effortlessly seductive look so we didn’t add shoes and paired it with a messy updo.
